Lionsbridge FC Partners with Virginia Ship Repair Association
March 30, 2021 – The Strength Behind the Fleet is now also the Strength Behind the Bridge. The Virginia Ship Repair Association and Lionsbridge Football Club announced a new partnership for the 2021 season.
As part of the alliance, VSRA, a regional association of more than 300 member companies which supports the state’s robust ship repair industry, will serve as the presenting sponsor of Lionsbridge FC’s July 24 match. VSRA and some of its member companies will have a presence at the club’s pre-game community festival where fans can learn more about the association and its member companies. VRSA and its member companies will be recognized at halftime for their service and support to one of our country’s most vital national security assets.
Additionally, VSRA will also receive season-long exposure at all Lionsbridge FC home games and throughout the year via the club’s digital and social media platforms.
“Lionsbridge FC provides a perfect partnership for the Virginia Ship Repair Association and our Members. The Lionsbridge mission and their passionate fans are a great match with the proud, passionate, patriotic men and women of ship repair. We look forward to an exciting match on July 24 and to working with Lionsbridge to spread the message about the backbone of national security that exists right here in our region – these mission critical folks who wake up every day and make ship happen for our military and commercial fleets,” said VSRA President Bill Crow.
“We are extremely proud to partner with the Virginia Ship Repair Association. The association and its member companies provide crucial support to America’s armed forces, but also serve as an integral part of Hampton Roads by employing more than 60,000 people and generating billions of dollars of economic impact. We look forward to showcasing their contributions to our community and giving fans the opportunity to learn more about the Strength Behind the Fleet,” Lionsbridge FC co-founder Mike Vest said.
