2024 Internship Positions
WHO IS A GREAT CANDIDATE?
WHAT'S IT LIKE?
First, it's a lot of fun... sports are fun! They're also a lot of work. We'll point you in the right direction, and you'll be given a lot of responsibility and you'll own your area. You'll help build amazing events for our community. You'll make great connections and learn a lot about the sports business.
Let's talk about the time commitment. Depending on the role, it may require more than eight hours of work in a given day, particularly event days. All interns work every home game (up to 2 per week... 11 games plus playoffs). Depending on the role, you may have some non-game day hours (typically performed remotely), you may travel to away matches and you may cover training sessions (as needed).
These unpaid internships are best suited for students who can get college credit and/or who are looking to get their foot in the door in the extremely competitive sports industry.
Our previous Lionsbridge FC interns have moved into roles in professional or college sports organizations such as the Washington Commanders, Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes, Sporting Kansas City, the PGA Tour, Durham Bulls, Norfolk Admirals, Syracuse Crunch, Virginia Tech, College of Charleston, James Madison and Old Dominion University.
- People who care, who are driven, enthusiastic, fun-loving, goal-oriented, hungry to learn, ready to serve Lionsbridge FC fans and most of all, be great teammates.
- If that's you... you're already a great candidate. But here are a couple of tiebreakers:
- It helps to have some experience, or least to be studying, the areas relevant to your application (events, marketing and digital media, etc.)
- Soccer experience or knowledge is certainly helpful, but not required
