2024 Coaching Staff
HEAD COACH: Chris Whalley (7th Year)
Chris Whalley has served as Lionsbridge FC head coach since the club formed in 2018. He brings 16 years of head coaching experience at the NCAA Division I and II levels. In six seasons at LBFC, Whalley has posted an overall record of 61 wins, 20 losses and 16 draws (71% winning percentage). Under Whalley's direction, Lionsbridge has turned TowneBank Stadium into a fortress, going 28-2-6 at home (86% winning percentage) since 2021 and hosting six USL League Two playoff games. The 'Bridge has not lost a regular season home game since July 2019.
During the Whalley era, Lionsbridge FC has sent 19 players into professional football including two MLS draft picks, 11 different USL clubs as well as clubs in England, Spain, Scotland, Sweden, Luxembourg, Australia and New Zealand.
The native of Nottinghamshire, England, is also the head coach at Chowan University in North Carolina, where he is the school's all-time wins leader and one of the most successful coaches in the history of NCAA Division II.
