Why is Lionsbridge FC implementing reserved chairbacks?
- During the 2024 season, we heard from many frustrated fans about seat saving, particularly in the chairback sections.
- As our attendance continues to grow each year and the bleachers continue to fill, we want to make sure every fan has the best possible experience.
- Last October, we surveyed our season ticket holders what seating policies they wanted to see in 2025 and the results were clear:
- 71% wanted the opportunity to reserve blue chairback seats for the season
- 75% prefered keeping seat saving in the metal bleachers.
- Based on this feedback, we’re introducing reserved chairback seating for the 2025 season. This gives season ticket holders the option to guarantee a specific seat while still keeping the flexibility of General Admission in the metal bleachers, which make up over two-thirds of our stadium seating.
- We’re always looking for ways to enhance the game-day experience, and we’ll continue to listen to fan input as we go.
Who can reserve a chairback seat?
- Only 2025 Lionsbridge FC season ticket holders are eligible to reserve a blue chairback seat, guaranteeing a dedicated, comfortable spot for every game.
- This is open to both season ticket jersey and wristband holders.
If I don’t reserve a chairback seat, where can I sit?
- No problem—this offer is optional! Season ticket holders and single game ticket holders have the same access as always to general admission seats in the metal bleachers or in the Festival Area.
Can I reserve a chairback seat for friends or family if they don’t have season tickets? If I reserve a chairback seat, does that get me into the games?
- No, chairbacks are only available as an optional add-on to your season tickets. At the time of your purchase, you must enter your Season Ticket Order Confirmation Number, and we will match those transactions to ensure that only season ticket holders have chairbacks. Any chairback purchases for non-season ticket holders will be voided and are non-refundable.
Can I choose my seat?
- Yes, that's one of the big benefits! When you go onto the website to make your purchase, it will require you to select chairback seat locations from the seating map. Available chairbacks will be marked with a blue dot, while the unavailable seats will be marked with a black X.
How do I prove that I have a reserved chairback seat? / What if someone is in my reserved chairback seat?
- Keep a copy of your purchase confirmation on your phone (email, Apple Wallet, or Google Wallet). Uniformed RMC event personnel will be stationed in the chairback sections (E, F and G) throughout the game to assist you.
Can I switch my reserved chairback seat if I change my mind later?
- Reserved chairback seats are non-refundable, and the location cannot be changed after purchase.
Are the chairback seats located in the same area as the bleachers?
- There are two distinct areas of the TowneBank Stadium grandstand: One is the blue chairback seats at midfield (sections E, F, and G). The other is the metal bleachers (sections A, B, C, D, H, I, J, and K). Chairbacks are reserved and the metal bleachers are general admission (first come, first served; and yes, seat saving is allowed in the metal bleachers).
What if I can’t attend a game? Can I transfer my reserved chairback seat to someone else?
- You can forward your chairback seat reservation to someone else.
What if the chairback sections sell out? Will there be a waitlist?
- Section F (the middle section) will go on sale first. Once that section is reserved, we’ll open up Section E. After Section E is filled, we’ll then open Section G. If Section G fills, we will be sold out of chairbacks.
Are there any additional fees associated with reserving a chairback seat?
- Newport News’ 10% admission tax will also apply.
